Very happy - thank you so much for sending the vice so quickly by FedEx. This vice is great and really excellent value. I have a LAW Bench vice - but didn’t want to take it travelling, so the fly mate is perfect - people don’t realise how close the fundamentals of the design is to a LAW. Thanks again!

Tied a few flies the quality seems good considering the price .easy to set up holds the hook well.the rotation facility makes doing afly easier to see 360 degrees well worth it. .

This is a budget-priced vice with features that would normally cost far more. Being able to rotate a fly while tying and when applying varnish or epoxy is essential in modern fly tying, and this vice does the job well. The jaws are a bit fiddly to use at first, but you soon get used to them. Overall I am very pleased.

Have used the vice a few times now,after adjusting the viceto how I liked it I find it very good and will probably last me for the rest of my tying days. I am delighted with the product.

It doesn't really hold the fly firm against any pressure from the thread, however tight you try to turn it. The jaws dont stand square to the base. I wish I had paid more for something better.

Thank you for your review. This however seems totally out of sync with the other reviews and feedback we have received for the Fly Mate vices, and if contacted could have helped you.
The fly tying vice, is one of our top selling vices but they do need to be set up correctly and once they are after a bit of practice are outstanding value for the money. Snowbee even guarantee for 5 years the jaws on them they are that confident. The instructions will help align the jaws. Any issue, call us.
Ref the jaws not aligning to the base, if you look at the picture, the stem has a bolt, loosen this and your stem will turn and line up.

Great products, fast delivery I ordered the items, Snowbee flymate pedestal vise and the fly tying materials at the last minute and still got them in time for Christmas so I was very impressed with Troutcatchers so I ordered some more items on the Sunday and received those on the Tuesday morning , excellent !!!!!!! .
