Snowbee XS-Pro Trout Fly Rods
Following the successful launch of the XS-P series of fly rods in 2004, a number of specialist rods has been added to the range. The XS-P series now offers the progressive fly fisher rods designed for a specific fishing application. The lightweight river dry fly rods provide a sweet crisp action allowing precision casts and delicate presentation. Our small river & stillwater rods are a dream to fish with and will flatter your casting action. For larger stillwaters, lochs & reservoirs, the #6 - #8 wt rods allow effortless distance casting coupled with accuracy. Finally our powerful salmon, grilse, sea trout and steelhead rods are ideally suited to fishing larger rivers and saltwater situations, where long casts are very much the order of the day. Rods equally at home lifting sink-tip or full sinking lines in fast flowing rivers and more than capable of casting shooting heads, bulky deer hair flies and poppers in exposed, wind-swept, surf fishing situations.
In short, these latest 'tip-action' rods offer the competent fly caster a real opportunity to get amongst the action, fast!
Our design brief was to create a range of rods with a blend of tradition, elegance and function, using our own state of the art Tri-Modulus Graphite technology.
By combining IM6, IM7 & IM8 carbon in different areas of the blank, it was possible to achieve the precise rod characteristics we required.
