Snowbee Braided Leaders, a range of gently tapered Braided Leaders, providing smooth, delicate turnover and presenting your fly with delicacy and precision. The Snowbee Braided Leader range, available in: 5ft lengths with a breaking strain 18-20 lbs. a choice of densities: Braided Floating (sink rate zero), Braided Intermediate (sink rate 1.2 sec), Braided Slow Sink (sink rate 2.3 sec) and Braided Fast Sink (sink rate 4.2 sec).
Snowbee Braided Leaders feature a neat loop at both ends benefiting the fly fisher with a quick and simple loop-to-loop connection between your fly line and leader / tippet material. The Leader is made from braided monofilament of which taper down to provide the weight distribution that links the turnover energy in the fly line to the leader.

More information : Snowbee Braided Leaders - A braided leader is produced by braiding (also called plaiting) three or more line filaments together, normally nylon, however in the past they were made of other materials including horse hair. Compared to monofilament and fluorocarbon line, braided leaders in fly fishing are rare. These lines tend to be much stronger than single-filament lines and have just enough stretch to act as a shock absorber, they also offer excellent turnover and are almost indestructible. A big benefit to the fly fishing angler is using a sinking or intermediate braided leader is an easy and cheap way to convert a floating line into a sink tip, you can easily change the braided leader to change depth at which your flies are fishing. Very poor quality item. Braided loops at both ends broke. First to break was tippet attachment loop when a trout of around 2lbs took the fly. Tied new loop but other loop broke when fly snagged on item behind me when casting. Have since been told Snowbee source these from China, which may explain poor quality.
