Snowbee Fly Mate Clamp Vice - Ball Joint - Features:
  • Clamp Vice for clamping your Fly Mate Vice to your bench or worktop.
  • Ball joint, gives movement on all planes, which coupled with the 360° rotation facility, allows viewing of the fly from all angles, during tying. this feature benefits the tyer, when tying very small dry flies, or when using resin, for Buzzers, etc. The patented ball joint allows unlimited movement, so the resin can be accurately "run" into the required shape, while it sets.
  • Engineered from high quality steel and aircraft aluminium, the jaws are made from high alloy tool steel, which has been specially hardened.
  • Parallel clamping of the hook, by means of the 2 jaw clamp screws, ensures secure grip of any hook size from #24 to 8/0.
  • The Snowbee Fly Mate Vice jaws come with a 5 year warranty.
  • Pictorial set up instructions and gurantee included to benefit from all functions and give trouble-free fly tying.
  • Spare rubber O ring included and allen key.
  • Material Spring included, a great, and handy addition/ feature to your fly tying vice. Setting it up, engage the two end rings into each other and wrap around as shown in the picture of the vice. When fly tying, any material such as dubbing, wire or feathers etc. hanging in the way of tying just simply place them in between the coils of the spring, in effect giving yourself a 3rd hand.
  • Bobbin Cradle included, designed to keep your bobbin holder and thread out of the way when using dubbing spinners or weaving bodies a very useful attachment.
Which Snowbee Fly Mate Vice to choose?
 The Snowbee Fly Mate Vice range has a choice of four vices. Two stability options; clamp (designed to clamp on the side of your fly tying bench / work-top), or pedestal (designed to be free standing with a heavy base). Then you have the option of either standard (featuring a rotational facility which, combined with the cranked jaws shaft, ensures that when rotated, the shank of the hook turns around its own axis), or ball joint (gives movement on all planes, which coupled with the 360° rotation facility, allows viewing of the fly from all angles, during tying.
