Summer Sand Eel Blue / Grey from the Chris Ogborne Sand Eel Range of Flies - Summer Sand Eel Blue / Grey from the Chris Ogborne Sand Eel Range of Flies - The Summer sand eels have green/blue backs with pure silver underbodies, and are much larger than the early season bootlace sand eels. The Blue/grey version works well on brighter days in clear water. The need for life in the fly is supremely illustrated by the fluoro fibre, whilst the amazing effect of light on the UV enhancer has to be seen to be believed.

Chirs is an internationally respected angler having represented England on the world stage for over 20 years. He has fished in all fly disciplines but these days his real love is the wild rivers and saltwater of Cornwall. These sand eel patterns have been developed over a number of years and now improved by the addition of Turrall Fly Tying Materials.
