The rotary action was very stiff and ‘clunky’ and I had to dismantle it to ensure I lubrricated it well, a few drops in the recommended holes did not seem to help. Rotary action was fine following. Having a problem adjusting the ball head but will have another try. Please note my surname is Tucker. I will be searching your site for other items to fulfill my inventory,because of returning to UK from many years in Canada I had to sell off my fly tying equipment,it was too expensive to send it h.

Slight fault with a screw thread, resolved by Troutcatchers within 2 Hours, good value for money tying vice, would recommend.

The ball joint on this version of the vice initially caused me concern but having spoken with Nick at Troutcatchers I realised what I was doing wrong and I am now completely satisfied. I have been astonished at the care and concern shown by Troutcatchers during my shopping experience and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone. There are some things you just cannot put a price. Good Pleased with my purchase certainly better than I have used in the past. My only concern is the Ball Joint, it slips. I have made it very tight in hope it will solve this problem. Other than that - great. .

Good value Jaws are good but floppy and out of line when putting hook in, but fine when tight. Rotation is ok but jaw needs to be offset to bring shank in line with axis,re-aligning is required for hook sizes. rotating faces rely on rubber rings for grip, dished washers would improve,I''m looking to modify. Good for the price when compared to more expensive vices Good for the price when compared to more expensive vices, but cheaper ones have better jaw alignment system. Well engineered but I have already modified the jaw mounting and positioning screws. TROUTCATCHER REPLY: Many thanks for feedback - we will pass on to Snowbee. Snowbee Fly-Mate Vice It has all the bells & whistles - I think - takes a bit of setting up for a novice but when you get it set it works very well.A good peice of kit for the price. .
