  • Normal delivery method is Royal Mail First Class post.
  • Delivery times vary depending on where the goods are being sent, we cannot guarantee delivery time; rough guide for Standard Post, from dispatch 1 - 3 working days. If urgent, please use 'Guaranteed Next Working Day' Option.
  • Tracking - Limited, only updated when delivered, or if the addressee is absent, may be scanned to say a card has been left. For full tracking choose 'Next Working Day' or 'Courier' option.
  • Reserve the right to upgrade your postage option to courier. Please advise if you do not want courier option.
  • Leave with a neighbour option. If you wish your item(s) to be left with a neighbour / left in safe place etc. Please leave clear instructions in your cart where it asks for any further shipping information. Note this is at the purchasers own risk, Troutcatchers cannot be held responsible for missing products if using this service.
Royal Mail Next Working Day Option
  • Order by 11am for next day service.
  • Tracking - Full Royal Mail tracking available, we will also set up phone / text alerts if available.
  • If ordering last working day of week, delivery first working day of following week.

Deliveries to EU from 1st January 2021 - Customs, Tax & Import Information
  • Purchases with troutcatchers UK are processed excluding 20% UK VAT, calculated through checkout once shipping & billing address has been applied.
  • Externally your order will be subject to a tiered charging system for local VAT, import duties, delivery handling charge.
Calculating your order value - for local VAT & import duties, EU define the total order value as the sum of;
  • Cost of the item(s) purchased.
  • Fee charged by the courier company (approximately £15), not the delivery charge you pay with your order.
Sum will be converted from £ GBP to € Euro. Currency conversion rate is defined by EU customs clearance house. This will then calculate your import VAT + duties.
  • €0 - €22 orders are VAT free, import duty free. Your order may still be subject to a delivery agent handling fee.
  • €23 - €150 orders incur a local rate VAT charge (based on the location of the customs clearance house) plus delivery agent handling fee.
  • +€151 orders will incur import duty charge (circa 10%), local VAT charge (applied to combined cost of order value + import duty charge), delivery agent handling fee.

  • Please make sure that you are familair with the new system - Any subsequent return as a result of non-payment of duties etc. all courier charges (actual costs, not subidised troutcatcher post charges) / admin / tax costs will have to be paid for by the customer. Worldwide Import DUTIES & TAX RULES Purchases outside UK (Now includes EU)
  • If buying goods from outside the UK, you may have to pay import duties and taxes.
  • However the price you pay for your purchases will reduce by 20% (excluding books which are zero rated) at point of sale.
  • Example: Advertised Item price £10.00 - You will be charged £8.30 the £1.70 VAT is removed.
  • Please contact your government authorities if in doubt what these import duties & taxes are and payment processes (this now also applies to EU Countries from 1st January 2021)
  • You are responsible for these charges including any courier admin fees.

Whats Troutcatcher Returns Policy?
  • If you wish to return any item to Troutcatchers, please email us for a return authorisation number to make the process as efficient for you as possible.
  • All returns must be completed with-in 28 days of receipt from dispatch date.
  • If short / damaged delivery must be notified with-in 24 hours so we can claim against relevant courier.
  • To improve customer service it would be helpful to understand why you wish to return your item.
  • All items must be returned as new and with all packaging / labels still attached.
  • You are responsible for making sure the item(s) are returned, we recommend using either a recorded or tracking service.
  • Troutcatchers will pay the cost of return delivery if due to a Troutcatcher / manufacturer error after a returns authorisation number has been issued.
  • Manufacturer / Troutcatcher defect / error. Whilst troutcatchers sympathise with any manufacturing defect, we will not enter into any claim for consequential loss as part of our warranty terms.
  • Refunds processed to your original payment method, 2 to 3 business days after inspecting goods.
  • Refund time does not include your bank's processing time.
  • If you wish to exchange a product, a further postal charge will apply.
  • Item must be free of any usage including clothing / footwear etc.
  • If returning for a refund and free post was awarded at sale, a deduction of £8.00 (UK - Overseas at actual postage cost) will be taken from the refund to cover original post.
  • Returns outside UK need to be marked “Goods Being Returned To Country Of Origin” this information needs to be entered onto any customs declaration required (Please check your local customs for best advice). Troutcatchers has the right to refuse any returned parcel that has attracted customs charges or if customs / duties / tax charges for re-importing are incurred, these will be deducted from refund plus an administration charge (£25).
  • FAULTY GOODS - All items (Unless for commercial use) comes with a 12 month Manufacturers Guarantee. If an item is found to be faulty, please notify us before returning so we can advise you further.
  • In order to comply with health and safety regulations, any faulty items being returned for assessment must be in a clean and dry condition, free from mud and dirt etc. We regret we are unable to process items that do not meet this criteria and such items will be returned to you at your cost. In some cases manufacturer / supplier may need to see item(s) before repair / replacement can be agreed.
  • Special Items, returned without Due Course; at the discretion of the company management, there may be a 10% re-stocking charge (plus any relevant delivery charges) (Items must be returned packaged and as new)
Are there any customs restrictions?
  • Please check with your local customs house for any restrictions on - Feathers / Furs / Animal Skins / Liquids.
  • Troutcatchers are not responsible for any customs or territorial regulations within the buyer's country.
  • The purchaser is fully responsible to ensure that goods, before purchase, are permitted.
  • Different countries have different regulations, if in doubt please check.
  • Troutcatchers cannot be liable for duties or losses, nor will any of our shipping companies if goods are confiscated by custom authorities due to local regulations and laws in the buyer's jurisdiction.
  • All overseas items will be shipped Standard International Packaging, unless previously advised.
  • We cannot label items to overseas as gifts since this will breach Customs & Excise Law.
  • Customs CU22 paperwork will be marked as 'Sporting Goods' unless value of order in excess of £270 or 2kg where CU23 paperwork must be completed with breakdown of goods supplied.
Do we sell any dangerous Goods that can not be sent overseas (Including non-mainland UK)?
  • Troutcatchers adheres to the air transportation regulations outlined by the International Air Transportation (IATA) and to the road regulations outlined by the UN ADR and do not accept Dangerous Goods in its system.
  • If you have any concerns or are unsure of anything that we have listed please do not hesitate to contact / email troutcatchers where we will be able to assist you further.
  • Prohibited Items that we list that may affect overseas delivery include; Self-Inflating Life Jackets, Knives, Aerosols.
