For the price, excellent value. Very sturdy construction. Vice grips even small hooks well. Rotary mechanism lock nut slips loose occasionally when turning the vice during tying, but otherwise a sound and effective vice.

My first impression is that it is too highly engineered, so it should have come with "How best to assemble and use the vice" leaflet.

Haven't used it yet but looks ideal!

Affordable Quality I wont kid myself and say its as good as the ?100 plus vices but its pretty damned close. Its affordable and looks like it is built to last a while. My only niggle was no instructions for use and if you are new to tying flies just a few words of encouragement could have come in handy. .
