Peacock Herl fly tying material

 supplied to troutcatchers from Veniard, used extensively for tying modern and traditional fly patterns.

Peacock Herl - Probably the first fly tying material used by us all and arguably no other natural material has as many fish attracting qualities as peacock Herl. Peacock Herl is separated from the Peacock Eye Tops and then strung into a large bundle. Perfect for the hundreds of patterns that call for this naturally iridescent material. This commonly used fly tying material is used in a huge range of flies including nymphs, streamers and even terrestrials such as beetle patterns. Peacock Herl a generous amount packed and supplied by Veniard (circa 20cm in length and the bundle is approx 4cm wide), strung for convenience and available with a choice of iridescent colours including; Natural Bronze, Dyed Black, Dyed Green, Dyed Magenta & Dyed Orange.
