Coq De Leon
'Coq de Leon' hackles are long fabled as the finest in fly tying feathers. Coq de Leon is sourced from birds bred in a very specific region of Leon in northern Spain. These birds have been linked to fly tying since 1624 and are arguably one of the oldest fly tying feathers around. Their fine distinctive markings are almost unique on their feathers; they have a very shiny feather adding an extra sparkle when used as either tail wisps or as a component in the wing.
