Thin Skin gives a convincing shell-back effect without the stiffness of a heavy foil strip. Its paper backing makes it easy to cut a long, even strip; peel that away only when you are ready to tie in. Stretch the material over the dubbed thorax or shrimp back, then secure it carefully so the texture beneath remains visible.
