Turrall Flat Tinsel - X-Wide

Turrall Flat Tinsel - X-Wide gives a broad, clean metallic covering to streamer and salmon-fly bodies. At 1/16 inch (1.60mm) wide, the untarnishable flat strip wraps a larger section of the hook with each turn, saving the fiddly work of trying to build a wide, smooth body with very narrow tinsel.

• Make a smooth, tapered thread foundation before winding: shiny flat tinsel shows any lumps beneath it.
• Tie in securely near the tail and maintain even, moderate tension so each turn lies flat.
• For a complete metallic body, slightly overlap consecutive turns rather than leaving thin gaps.
